iri
Hi there! I’m originally from the Canary Islands — also known as “the Fortunate Isles”. Though I carry the sun and the sea of my homeland in my heart, I moved to Edinburgh over six years ago, drawn by a desire to step out of my comfort zone, explore the world and open myself to new experiences.
Here, I’ve found a second home, where I currently work as Community Events Coordinator for a local charity, as well as managing social media for a tour guide company based in the city. I’m passionate about bringing people together and creating spaces where they can connect, and I find joy in anything that involves creativity, crafting, and building community.

valeria
Ciao! I’m Valeria, a proud daughter of a tiny Sicilian village, where the sun kisses the olive groves and everyone knows your name. Eleven years ago, armed with a suitcase full of dreams and my nonna’s recipes, I left for Scotland to pursue an MSc. But life had other plans: I fell in love… not with a person, but with Scotland’s wild landscapes and its stories whispered in castle winds.
Now, as a tour guide, I’ve made it my mission to make others fall as deeply for this country as I did. When I’m not sharing tales of tartan and folklore, you’ll find me hunting for hidden food gems (because yes, Italian passion for la dolce vita and Scottish whisky pair beautifully!), or plotting my next adventure, fork and map in hand.
