PRIVATE CEILIDH: TRADITIONAL DANCES

Step into one of Scotland’s most joyful and iconic traditions — the Ceilidh, a lively evening of music, rhythm, and connection.

Originally celebrated at weddings, festivals, and community gatherings, the Ceilidh brings people together through traditional dances and live folk music.

Your evening begins at one of our partner venues, where your group is greeted by a dedicated host. Guests are welcomed into the space with lively Scottish music, setting the tone for the night ahead.

Before the dancing begins, guests can unwind and enjoy a drink of their choice — whisky, beer, wine, or a non-alcoholic option — while soaking up the vibrant atmosphere.

The musicians introduce the history and spirit of the Ceilidh, sharing stories and fun facts about its origins and its role in Scottish life — from the Highlands to today’s urban celebrations.

Our musicians also act as expert dance callers, guiding guests step-by-step through each traditional dance. No experience is needed — the goal is to have fun, laugh, and join in the lively rhythm of the night.

The live music and dancing typically last around 1 hour and 45 minutes, followed by background music so guests can relax and enjoy the atmosphere. The schedule is flexible: events can take place in the morning or evening, any day of the week, depending on your group’s needs.

At the end of the experience, our coordinator will accompany the group to their next destination, previously arranged with our trusted partners. If your group has also booked our Scottish Dinner with Folk Music, your guide will lead you seamlessly to the restaurant where the second part of your experience begins.

Experience the heart of Scotland through its dance, music, and laughter — a Ceilidh night designed for connection, celebration, and unforgettable moments shared with your group.
